D.I.Y JEWELLERY HOLDER

Hey Chummy’s, today i am doing my first ever D.I.Y! I thought i’d start it of with one of my all time favourite D.I.Y’s, the jewellery holder. This  was not my creation and this picture above is from Pinterest (edited by me). I have made one of these before but even i have to admit that my attempt was no way near as good as the one above! I will be making another one of these as they are so simple to make and look great, i will post it up once i have finished it. If any of you guys decide to make it please e-mail me with your final result as i love to see what you guys create! (Email is on the Contact page.)
Here are the steps:
Step 1:
1
Find an old wooden utensil cupboard that you are willing to use for the D.I.Y.
Step 2:

Next pick the colour you want to paint your jewellery holder. I chose white like the picture above but you can be as creative as you wan’t and even add wallpaper strips to the background. When you paint the wooden utensil holder remember to do lots of layers to really make sure the colour stands out. If you wan’t more of a shabby chic look you don’t have to do as many layers.
Step 3:

Once your paint is dry start to add the brass screw eyes in the places you want. Bear in mind the places you are planning to put different types of jewellery, for instance put more screws where you are going to put earrings and put less with more space where you are going to bracelets or necklaces. You can get these from many hardware stores. If you would prefer you can also put up Brass Cup Hooks which are very similar.
Step 4:
Add your jewellery to the holder and either hang it on a wall or lean it against something, for instance your dressing table.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and as this is my first D.I.Y post i really need all your tips to make me much better at it! Feel free to comment with your feedback.
